Before entering law school, I spent three decades responding to emergencies as a firefighter and paramedic. As a nurse for the last fifteen years I have worked in the ER and on medevac planes. I have worked in local and state government from the mountains of North Carolina to the desert of Arizona to the “Last Frontier” of Alaska. A lifetime spent finding the best way to handle whatever situation caused a call to 911 has honed an ability to calmly and rapidly adapt to evolving situations regardless of whether the emergency is medical or legal. After moving from North Carolina to Arizona to Colorado back to North Carolina to Alaska back to Arizona and then to Nevada, my wife and I are excited to be in the beautiful red rock surroundings of southwest Utah and have the opportunity to become a part of “Dixie.”

As an Arizona-licensed attorney, I have a general law practice in the North Canyon Justice Court in Colorado City. I will assist or refer clients with any matter heard before the Justice Court including criminal and traffic cases, family law, and other civil matters. With over fifteen years of nursing experience on top of my career in emergency medicine, I have the background to understand the medical aspects of personal injury cases and to assist veterans in making compelling cases for the grant of benefits they deserve. I never served on active duty, but I am the son of a veteran and a graduate of the U.S. Marine Corps’ Officer Candidate School and I consider it an honor to be able to assist Utah’s veterans in securing the benefits to which they are entitled.

I have spent my life standing between those I serve and danger; I still fight for those I serve, I merely traded firefighting gear for a suit and moved the battle from the streets to the courtroom.
